Sweetwater Arabians - Arabian Horses in the Great Northwest
Sweetwater Arabians is a family run breeding facility nestled in the beautiful Snohomish Valley of Washington state. Founded in the mid 70`s with one thoroughbred mare, the family quickly fell for the beauty and versatility of Arabians. A couple of mares and one a stallion later, Sweetwater Arabians started breeding and showing Arabians in the local class A circuit. Concentrating on the bloodlines of the time we were able to produce some very athletic and beautiful individuals. Unfortunately we have only one horse left from those early years, who`s still going strong in his 24th year.
Recently relocating to a 15 acre ranch with a state of the art facility, Sweetwater Arabians is committed to producing the finest Arabians. Using quality bloodlines such as Padron, RSD Dark Victory, Odyssey SC, Cytosk and Out of Cyte, we strive towards breeding beautiful, confirmationally correct and athletic horses. Although we only produce 3 to 4 foals a year, we just may have the foal for you. Overall we try to match each individual mare to a stallion that will complement her strengths and improve any weaknesses.
We have bred to such stallions as Cytosk+++, Out of Cyte, RSD Dark Victory, DS Major Fire, Apaladin and The Noblest. Currently we do not stand our own stallion as we feel with such a diverse group of mares we would serve them better to breed to outside stallions. Our bloodlines lean toward Halter and English performance horses but we do have some western pleasure stock as well. We breed for half Arabs too with some NSH and QH cross babies, which we are very happy with.
With the recent relocation we were able to expand our herd of broodmares and acquire some great individuals. One of which is EF Foxcy Lady, a full blood sister to National Champion, First Cyte. We have daughters of Odyssey SC, Cytosk+++ and RSD Dark Victory in our pastures and plan on expanding our broodmare band over the next couple of years.
